In another place, the Sūtra seeks for the basis of origination of defilements in avidyāvāsabhūmi (Q. in p . 33) which is also regarded as being anādikālika; but its research never goes beyond this, and the problem remains unsolved. 7) Lastly, the fundamental standpoint throughout this Sūtra is the ekayāna theory, i. e. the acceptance of One Vehicle of the Buddha, i. e. the Mahāyāna inclusive of the other two Vehicles of Srāvaka and Pratyekabuddha.
